This 6 week class prepares you to 'test out' of this college course. This class and exam covers material typically presented in a one semester, 3 credit, American Government class. Includes topics such as the institutions and policy processes of the federal government, the federal courts and civil liberties, political parties and interest groups, political beliefs and behavior, and the content and history of the Constitution. Anatomy & Physiology I (UExcel)
Anatomy & Physiology II (UExcel)
This 5-week class prepares you to test out of a traditional 3 credit, Anatomy & Physiology II course; and, is part 2 of 2 courses designed to prepare you for a regular 6 credit, Anatomy & Physiology course. Topics discussed include a review of the endocrine, hematology, circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, and digestive system. Art of the Western World (DSST Exam)
This 6 week class prepares you to 'test out' of this college course. This class and exam covers material typically presented in a one semester, 3 credit, Art of the Western World course. This 6 week class refreshes you with the fundamental skills needed for the College Mathematics exam. Upon completion of this class you will be ready for the College Mathematics course at Achieve, but not for the College Mathematics CLEP examination. There is no associated exam with this class and therefore no earned credit should be expected. Material taught in this class is a review of skills typically taught in K-12. Topics include but are not limited to: sets, logic, real number systems, functions and graphs, probability and statistics, as well as topics in algebra and geometry. This is not the actual college course nor is it intended to deliver occupational skills.
College Algebra (DSST or CLEP)
This 8-9 week class prepares you to 'test out' of this college course. This class and exam cover material typically presented in a one semester, 3 credit hour, College Algebra course. The following topics are included: algebraic operations, equations and inequalities, functions and their properties, number systems and operations. College Composition (CLEP)
This 8-week class prepares you to 'test out' of this college class. This class and exam covers material typically presented in two semesters of first-year college composition courses and provides 6 credits upon passing. Assessment of writing skills, including analysis, argumentation, synthesis, usage, ability to recognize logical development and research are covered to prepare the student for the exam. This exam contains both multiple choice questions and 2 essays. This is not the actual college class nor is it intended to deliver occupational skills. (CLEP exam)
College Mathematics (CLEP Exam)
This 8 week class prepares you to 'test out' of this college course. This class and exam covers material typically presented in a one semester, 6 credit, College Mathematics course for majors in fields not requiring advanced knowledge of mathematics. Review of basic math and the following topics are included: sets, logic, real number systems, functions and graphs, probability and statistics, as well as topics in algebra and geometry. The course and exam measure the student’s ability to organize facts and thoughts, implement symbolic strategies and points of view; develop and maintain a controlling idea and coherent organization; and write within the rhetorical, syntactic, and mechanical conventions of Standard Written American English. The ability to persuade a reader; to understand and compose an extended argument; to analyze and respond appropriately to written texts including literary texts; to use and document sources; and to recognize and write about revision and editing processes are reviewed in this course. The Job Placement Assistance course gives students the tools and skills necessary to land the job they want and deserve. This course will cover how to find the best jobs, write a memorable cover letter, update your resume (Yes, it does need to be updated!), and help students prepare for the challenges of the job search process.
How does this differ from what you think you know already about getting a job? By taking this course, you will be introduced to little-known tips and tricks given along the way that are easy to implement that get real results. You will develop strategies and an action plan while researching companies and open positions, and applying to jobs.
This 8-week class is taught by a human resource professional who will serve as your mentor along the way. It doesn’t matter if you have had several jobs, you're looking for your first one, or you're changing careers, this class is for you!

This 6 week class prepares you to "test out" of this college course. This class and exam covers material typically presented in a one semester, 3 credit, Introductory Macroeconomics course. The class covers principles of economics that apply to an economy as a whole, including output and income, general price level, and relationships between sectors of the economy. Microbiology (UExcel Exam)
This 9 week class prepares you to 'test out' of this college course. This class and exam course covers material typically presented in a one semester, 3 credit, Microbiology course. The topics reviewed include introduction to microbiology; biology of microorganisms; control of microorganisms; disease and resistance; biology of infectious diseases; and environmental, food, and industrial microbiology. Pathophysiology (UExcel Exam)
This 8 week class prepares you to 'test out' of this college course. This class and exam covers material typically presented in a one semester, 3 credit, Pathophysiology course. This class reviews pathological deviations from the normal physiological activities of the major systems of the human organism including immunological and genetic aspects of diseases. This 5 week class prepares you to 'test out' of this college course. This class and exam covers material typically presented in a one semester, 3 credit, Introductory Sociology course. The class focuses on the following areas: Institutions, Social Patterns, Social Processes, Social Stratification, as well as the history of sociology and sociological theory. Spanish I (CLEP Exam or UExcel Exam)
This is a 6-week, communicative Spanish course that covers elementary and intermediate grammatical structures of the Spanish language, as well as vocabulary and cultural situations. Students will begin to cultivate their Spanish proficiency through extensive interaction in the target language.
This course focuses on the development of basic speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in Spanish, along with the study of the cultures of Spanish-speaking peoples. This is part one of a two part course, both of which are needed to master the CLEP or UExcel Spanish Language Examination.
Both exams are designed to measure knowledge and ability equivalent to that of students who have completed two to three semesters of college Spanish language study. Material taught during both years is incorporated into a single exam, covering both Level 1 and Level 2 content. This is not the actual college class, nor is it intended to deliver occupational skills.
CLEP Students
   -ACE recommends 6 semester hours of credit for mastery of Level 1 content (a score of 50) and 9 semester hours of credit for mastery of both Levels 1 and 2 (a score of 63). (CLEP exam)
UExcel Students
   -Excelsior College, the test developer, recommends granting six (6 semester hours of lower-level undergraduate credit to students who receive a letter grade of C or higher on this examination. Other colleges set their own policies for the amount of credit awarded and the minimum acceptable score. (UExcel Exam)
Spanish II (CLEP Exam or UExcel Exam)
This is a 6-week, communicative Spanish course that covers intermediate and advanced grammatical structures of the Spanish language, as well as more vocabulary and different cultural situations. It measures knowledge and understanding of the fundamental concepts of descriptive and inferential statistics. Questions about the meaning and application of basic statistical ideas are included. Supervision and Management (CLEP Exam or DSST Exam)
This 6 week class prepares you to "test out" of this college course. This class and exam cover material typically presented in a one semester, 3 credit, introductory management or principles of supervision course. The class content focuses on the following areas: Human resources, Operational and Functional management. The exam measures the student’s understanding of management/supervision specific terminology, theories and application. This 5 week class prepares you to 'test out' of this college course. This class and exam covers material typically presented in a one semester, 3 credit, Introduction to World Religions course.
